Car history:
2) 1970 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top Coupe that is a true unrestored survivor in my opinion. Mostly all original paint in factory Daytona Yellow with 100 per cent original Deluxe Black Leather interior, check the codes on the cowl tag. Tilt and Telescopic Steering Wheel works great. It is listed in the C3 Registry from 2012. Owner then says it has had one repaint. I do not think that is correct.
This Corvette runs and drives very good, lots of fun, it's fast!
Guaranteed 100 per cent the original engine block, transmission case, original rear end. An original numbers matching car.
I do not know every nut and bolt on this car, it came out of storage and straight to my building.
Purchased by a Doctor when new at Ebys, Inc. in O'neill, Nebraska on 8-01-70. Early on he moved to El Paso,Texas. He owned it for around 10 years, then sold it to the second owner in New, Mexico/Colorado who I think were family of some sort. It then ended up in Kansas City, Kansas around 2012. That is the owner that placed it in the Registry. That is the documentation I have.
I have lots of original paperwork. I have the original owner manual, warranty Protect-O-Plate, the Car Shipper Invoice that list all the factory installed equipment. Tank Sticker is still on the gas tank.
Please read the options on the Car Shipper Invoice, car is true to the invoice.
Please check the Protect-O-Plate numbers in my photo here to the numbers on the engine, transmission, and rear axle assembly, they are a perfect match.
Included in the paperwork I have an appraisal by Bob Kroupa for Vette Finders valued in 2012 at $28,300. The market is certainly better these days.

Muncie Transmission Numbers: Case: 3925661; POH24A: Muncie June 24th M20; Transmisson Vin Number 70S413977
Rear End Assembly Numbers: 2 CAN 6 19 70W, 3:55 Performance Axle June 19th 70 Posi Unit
The body on this car is amazing, the paint is 48 years old and it is lacquer, yes it has chips, cracking, nicks, checking, some peeling.
Interior is very nice with no tears in the seats just regular leather cracks from age. It is all correct down to the deluxe original carpet.
Bottom and frame are very very good. No indication of an accident. The frame has some surface rust but no holes or anything like that. An original tire is still in the bucket. Correct PO2 option Deluxe Hubcaps are on this car.
AM+FM Stereo Blue Dot radio is in the car. The headlights and wiper door do not work as I am sure its a vacuum issue. The Air Conditioning was redone in 2012 and it's cold but the compressor will not cut off, switch on console I would think. I have it unplugged.
The smog equipment is NOT missing on this car. A 70 Corvette 350/350HP engine L46 option had the Controlled Combustion System omissions not the traditional smog pump, tubes. Even the lower shielding is still on the engine, that is always gone.
Shoulder belts and lap belts are in place, tie down straps for the T-Tops and bags are in the back of the car. Original jack is in the car. Miles showing 73,686 but are exempt, it is over 10 years old. BiN $23,000 but reached $20,100 (RnM) on March 27, 2018.
1) On August 1st, 1970, Herman Grothe walked into Eby's Chevy and Olds in O'Neil, Nebraska and bought a new Corvette. His new Corvette was a Daytona Yellow coupe, with black leather interior, 350/350 horsepower engine, 4 speed transmission, AM/FM stereo radio, 4 season air conditioning, P02 wheel covers and tilt, telescopic steering column. This car stickered for $6,552.85 and Herman negotiated for a little less. The car did not spend much time in Nebraska before it was driven to the dry climate of New Mexico. It spent most of the next 40 years only changing hands to a cousin and maybe a brother in law before it came into my posession. It has been painted once in its original color of Daytona Yellow and shows pretty well. The interior and drivetrain appear to be all original and untouched. The car shows 73,000 miles and the previous owner stated that they were original. Judging from the condition of the car I would agree. The frame is in mint condition with hardly even any surface rust. The spare tire tub is intact and holds what appears to be one of the original tires. It also has the original jack and wrench intact with the original hold down spring. The car runs and drives excellent and after driving it, anyone would agree on the 73,000 miles. The original 350 horse engine pulls strong and the transmission shifts effortlessly through the gears. The A/C blows cold but the compressor is starting to make some noise. I would expect to replace the compressor before too much longer. The body looks to be in excellent condition with no apparent repairs or accidents.
The car comes pretty well documented. I have the original Protect O Plate, the original Car Shipper Invoice, and the tank sticker is still laying on the tank.73,685 miles from the odometer. Added September 14, 2012.
